Pastor Jim Hallmann was passionate about the ministry of Bethesda Lutheran Communities, supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. During his pastoral career he served as both staff member and leader of spiritual life services. Pastor Jim loved the people supported by this ministry and he also enjoyed golf. In his honor, this memorial golf tournament began in 2012. His daughter, Heidi Hallmann, continues to live in a Bethesda group home in Orange County.
Bethesda Lutheran Communities is a nationwide provider of person-centered and community-based services, benefiting 175 people in the Southern California area with residential, vocational and spiritual life supports through services that share the good news of Jesus Christ.
This year we are trying a different approach in raising funds for the many Auxiliary projects and are hosting a "No-Golf Golf Tournament" opportunity to carry on our support for projects with less tournament expense. We are seeking your continued generosity.
Goose Creek Golf Club has partnered with us to offer an opportunity for golfers who still want to play and enjoy the course. For each $100 donation, you will be mailed a $50 Goose Creek gift card to be used toward course play, clubhouse items or food. (Tax deductible amount is $70.)
